Stuff n stuff: aesthetics in the Haus of dogfish + Capt. America

I am on a quest to improve the decor in my house which has hitherto been the responsibility of my grandma and mum. Unfortunately they both have poor taste so I've got my work cut out for me, hah. I bought a nice table runner/cloth thing today except the table I intended to use it on is covered with my sis' crap. This house will look nice eventually, but cancer will be cured before that day comes.

Anyway some pharmers were talking about how they spent the weekend being unproductive. Combine that with Tumblr gifs, I'm currently itching to watch Capt. America. I really want to watch The Avengers but I have to restrain myself until I've watched all the Marvel hero movies ... except I don't really care about The Hulk so idk. But piratebay won't load why. looooooad plzzzzz.

On a happier note

Housekeeping

Dusting off the cobwebs on this place because the other place is getting quiet. I had another outlet going and the plan was to exchange stories of daily happenings with such and such except the other party hasn't been posting so the conversation has gotten 1 sided so it's not fun. And so I've reverted back to z old ways.

I dislike pharm so much so sosososo much there is barely any motivation left to work. All the excitement of uni peaked in the first few weeks and now there is just a perpetual exhaustion lingering over everybody who's dragged themselves out of bed and 1.5 hours away from home. I want to get out of here except 1) IDK where I'll go and 2) I'll need to have a fantastic GPA - but no motivation - ??? - fail (hopefully this turns out differently)(I'm not /that/ bad)

The work has been slowly accumulating but I've been in denial of it all. It's catching up. Exams are in less than a month oh my gawd I have nowhere to go. I'd planned a day trip off to the middle of nowhere but now I realised that my plan coincided with day 1 of STUVAC i.e. I should be studying. Basically no time.

On the plus side, I am incredibly excited to be a part of the Sci Revue. No longer chained to the piano like in high school I can actually be a cast member of a production now (YAY!). Hopefully I can also make friends with a few other students but at this moment in time my chances are bleak and it's a bit depressing. I don't want to show up to each rehearsal and be isolated since everybody already knows each other from previous revues and shows. le sigh. I tell myself that it will be fun. a good opportunity to meet people. and I don't always have to be with people I know - the USYD Seftoners aren't into this kind of thing anyway.

Uni feels a bit


lonely.


I noticed that I don't see the Seftoners around uni as often anymore. Partially my fault for skipping lectures, and theirs for skipping the ones I attend. We usually take the train together. The train rides are long but the conversations are short, especially since I started reading on the way to uni. Currently making my way through The Odyssey. Currently not making my way through all the lectures I missed.


And now it is late and I have things to do for tomorrow before I sleep. And miles to go before I sleep.

Boggess

OK so at first I tried to paint Sierra Boggess but that never worked out... I'm getting rusty at this. I've just settled with colouring a children's Disney stencil sheet because I'm feeling lazy (+ art block). Hence the sloppy everything.

I made a twitter account but didn't figure out how to make a tweet in time to ask Ramin Karimloo a question during the live chat. Lyf so sad.

Suicide Hall

So right now all I think about is the Phantom of the Opera and its sequel, Love Never Dies. When I went through the tumblr tag for phantom there weren't as many graphics as I'd seen with other fandoms (Sherlock, DW, etc.).

Too bad I'm the biggest n00b @ graphics. Actually, if there was an award for lowest quality graphics, this would take the cake. lol lol lolol ol lol what composition??? rendering? blending??? ? ?? ? derp

this took me 87371627 hours to make. This is why I only illustrate on photoshoop ... wat da heck are layer masks?

• Hadley Fraser cameo in LND photographs because I have no idea who the other guy is + Hadley Fraser = Raoul whenever I listen to the LND recording.
• all 3 humans from the image above are flawless.
• the last time I was involved in a stage production (2010) it made me want to quit life and join a theatre company. this is bad because final round offers have closed, so I'm going to be stuck with B Drugs for a year before I can change to something else. I'm not sure what I want, but something along the lines of B Something-with-higher-job-prospects-that-is-still-sciencey. full time scientist/part time musical theatre performer. yesss
• ugh work tomorrow. why hasn't the cinemas called me back yet?! work goal is to get into the Capitol Theatre (which is playing LND right now, damn it!) doing front house or something idc. aaaahh
